Adams Homes is Expanding to Houston, TX!
August 21, 2019
The much-anticipated day has finally come for us to announce our newest Lonestar Region! We’re expanding to the Wild West and bringing Adams Homes to Houston, Texas!
Why Houston, you may ask? “We believe it is a strong market that has been able to sustain itself in tough times,” said Ryan Tapscott, Regional Manager of our Lonestar Region. “There are over 250 people that move to Houston every day, and the great life deserves a great home!”
According to Tapscott, Houston has maintained its number two position just behind the Dallas/Fort Worth area in terms of breaking ground on new home construction. The Houston market started over 29,322 new homes, representing a growth rate of 1.1%, or growth of 315 new homes year-over-year. When looking at Metrostudy, in 2018 volume growth continued to be driven by builders and developers offering a wider range of products. This range includes a greater amount of more moderately priced and attainable homes (under $300K). Currently, the dynamic of this growth is expected to continue throughout the end of 2019 and beyond.
Adams Homes recognizes that Houston doesn’t only have a fantastic and ever-growing housing market, but also has a wide variety of cultural experiences and things to do. For instance, you can visit the NASA Space Center, take a stroll through the premier Museum District, or discover Houston’s Texan roots by learning about the authentic heritage of the cowboys who used to roam there. Houston is also a haven for sports fans, with the Houston Rockets, Houston Astros, and the Houston Texans all calling this area home.
As you can see, we are very excited about our newest Lonestar Region, and we hope you are too! When asked what he sees for the future of Adams Homes in this area, Tapscott said, “Our long-term goal here is to be a leading homebuilder in the Houston market. We plan to have a North, South, and West office in Houston alone and will plan to grow into the other markets here such as Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin.”
